How do wars start?

Well there’s always a story behind it. If we’re going to try and tackle what might happen today, everyone will have someone to blame. If it is Europe, it is Russia’s fault, if it’s Taiwan, it’s China’s fault, and if it is the Ukraine, it’s America’s fault.

• As an aside, the father of a dear friend of mine is North American Native Indian who became a very financially successful chief using the land and natural resources of his band’s hereditary area. He bankrolled his natural resources success into investments in developing Ukrainian mining resources. His experience was that the Ukraine is the most corrupt place in the world. One has to wonder if all the world’s deadly interest in controlling that region is about the value of the metals underground.

How can people make sense of complex systems?

When it comes to War, at the end of the day, it’s always someone’s fault, which makes it any way that you look at it, it’s humanity’s fault.

War, culture, secret societies of "Architects" building religions?

The most important concept I wanted people to grasp was internal / external, and how it relates to control. Internal behavior controlers through emotions like greed and fear; contrasted with external controlers such as money and government. Many readers extrapolated this concept through to the logical endpoint of belief systems commonly known as religions and philosophies.

But from my twitter feed, I see how this concept did not get through to as many people as I hoped. So today’s post is going to be Explicit telling straight out what was Implicit in my previous substacks.

Why am I doing this?

(this is going to be controversial)

• Because the people who currently control the world are very advanced philosophers, religious scholars, AND manipulators of the way people’s think.

Unless we the people start thinking at an equally advanced level, we cannot win.

Analysis:

**We must be generous with the interpretation here as the English NIV Bible I quote may be a translation from Aramaic, Hebrew, or a mix of both.

Therefore we must stick to facts as much as possible:

1. The Facts:

   1. “Lord Almighty” will punish the “Amalekites”

   2. “Lord Almighty” does so by ordering his “people” to attack the Amalekites.

   3. The attack is motivated by revenge for what Amalekites did to Israel.

2. The parts where mis-translation is unlikely:

   1. “totally destroy^[a] all that belongs to them.”

   2. “Do not spare them; put to death men and women,”

   3. (put to death…) “children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys”

Context:

References to “Amalekites” in the Old Testament refer to a tribe that at various times plundered the Israelites and “…attacked all who were lagging behind; they had no fear of God.” (Deuteronomy 25 18)

Eventually it appears the Lord Almighty’s orders for genocide was successful and in 1 Chronicles 4:43 “They killed the remaining Amalekites who had escaped,…”

My Personal Context:

(Skip if you just want to get to the analysis)

Back in medical school I chose to have my Psychiatry rotation in Forensic Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry. I know many people have strong views about psychiatry, with many believing the entire field is a fraud. As a scientist I entered the rotations thinking all illnesses were biological, and were therefore curable biologically. Learning from “incurable” cases therefore presented the greatest challenge and therefore the greatest opportunity to gain knowledge. Child psychiatry and forensic psychiatry had the most “incurable” or as we called it, “treatment resistant” cases. I witnessed illnesses far beyond what bad biology or a bad environment could cause. Patients, some of whom were children had illnesses of the mind (and probably spirit) not repairable by a change in environment, nutrition or therapy. Their parents were normal, their diet was normal, but their actions and thoughts were far beyond what most people can imagine. These were the sickest of the sick, where only mind numbing medications could make a few safe enough to enter society, and many couldn’t even do that.

What I observed in medical school was that many forensic psychiatric patients described being commanded by “God” to do the acts that brought them into psychiatric jail. They’d state this in both interviews and in their writings.

(The unfortunate fact of humanity is that for both spoken and written words, the claim that something came from “God” doesn’t actually mean it is true. This is true today, and of all likelihoods, equally true for the past humans as well, going all the way back 10, 100, and tens of thousands of years.)

One of the interviews I remember during medical school, was with a serial killer. The only indication that there was anything wrong was the brief twinkle in his eye when he recalled one of his murders. His diagnosis was psychopathy. No amount of medication or therapy could change the joy he got from harming others. The reality is that some psychopaths are relatively intelligent; and I suspect the most intelligent ones outwit both doctors and law enforcement and are able to remain outside of institutions.

This leads to a societal problem for psychopaths. If they kill, they will either be quickly killed themselves or find themselves exiled from their prey. So for a psychopath, killing without getting caught OR creating situations where killing is socially acceptable are favorable. Both situations create an evolutionary pressure, such that when psychopaths occur, the surviving ones that get to pass on their psychopathy to future generations are usually the highly intelligent ones that evade capture, or are celebrated as heroes for killing.

What “profession(s)” therefore might attract psychopaths looking for a “socially acceptable” kill?

1. Healthcare

In Canada there was the famous case years ago of a Nurse serial killer in Ontario, who killed at least 8 patients over almost a decade before being caught. Just from COVID times alone, I myself documented 2 acts from doctors that I can only describe a psychopathic. 1 a head of ICU in BC who gave an order to remove evidence of the deadly act of giving a vaccine to a patient who was still critically ill:

Another was an ER doctor put a patient on a ventilator who did not need it, and then ordered a paralytic instead of a sedative when the patient showed signs of being awake:

Analysis

Using a moderate degree of wisdom, telling a group of people to kill the children and infants of an “enemy”, is a bad idea at best, if not completely immoral.

If the rationale was because the “Bad Guys” waylaid God’s “Chosen tribe”; (“Waylaid” means “inconvenienced” in English) that would be unreasonable. If the “waylaying” involved attacking and perhaps the murder of stragglers during an exodus journey, infanticide and killing children is still unreasonable.

If someone was actually Omnipotent, wouldn’t a better solution be a magic wall that repels anyone attacking the Israelites? Maybe one that gives a non-lethal electric shock to the attacker to discourage further attacks and maybe teach a little respect for the power of the God?

Isn’t having to order someone else to do the killing evidence of the lack of omnipotence?

Does it show a reasonable degree of maturity that the reason to kill listed in Deuteronomy 25:18 was that the Amalekites had “No fear of God”?

Teenagers

Most parents of all but the most obedient teenagers experience a day when their creation has no fear of them. Is that sin?

Is the solution to a fearless teenager the killing of that teenager?

Is the solution to a fearless teenager who had a baby killing that teenager AND killing the infant? (If the kids decided to carry through with a teenage pregnancy?)

(If I am “mis-interpreting” scripture there’s only 1 of two possibilities. Either the reader is at fault and I can’t comprehend written words, OR the communicator is not stating his message CLEARLY. Should an Omnipotent and Omniscient God also be a perfect communicator? Or should God communicate in misleading ways?)

There’s another passage in Deuteronomy 25 about cutting off the hand of a woman who tries to save her husband from being murdered by another man. No specifics on whether the woman is trying to save her husband’s life from another man who is attacking just for fun or if the fight is “justified” over accusations of stealing cattle. Either way the “Lord Almighty” says to cut off her hand.

Is it any wonder that at least 1 of the 3 old testament religions still believes in stoning women to death?

From a greater perspective, there’s only 1 Old Testament Religion that has any hope of morality; hopes which greatly improve if followers can overcome the psychological programming of the Old Testament.

Why?

(I’ll leave it to the reader figure that out. But I will give a hint. During my recent travels in the East, the most notable change I noticed is that when someone tells you that you’re acting like “God”, it’s because you did something particularly kind, forgiving or courageous. When someone goes on an irrational “Power Trip”, here in the East they say that person is acting like the Devil. In Western Civilization, the unreasonable use of power is often labelled “Acting like God”.)

Addendum about psychopaths:

What kinds of societies are most BENEFICIAL to psychopaths?

How about fearful societies with fearful people?

Would that give psychopaths the most freedom to kill and harm?

What creates fear in people?

Does it originate in thought systems? i.e. Religions?

Isn’t courage the antidote to fear?

If so why isn’t courage in the 10 commandments?

If a Psychopath were to build a civilization, how would they build it?

Here’s a clue:

Are there sins missing from the 7 deadly ones? Isn’t fear the deadliest sin? Or how about deception? Shouldn’t there be 9? or 10?

Who is an “Amalekite”?

I suspect from the perspective of the super elite (the kind that run nations and banks from behind the scenes) it is anyone who doesn’t sit at their table.
